The Rapyd Cloud Link API in conjunction with the Rapyd Cloud Link app for PAX terminals provides merchants with a way to connect their web based cash registry system to physical terminals for use in the card present environment.
Base requirements for terminals is that they follow the APACS 70 standard. The merchant is not limited to Rapyd as a POS provider.
This system operates in an event based manner and there are two options for communication with the API that clients can choose from, either using webhooks or polling for updates. Please take this into consideration before starting the implementation process.
In this document we will provide you with explanations of the different scenarios that can occur during the payment procedure, to help you with the implementation of the Cloud Link API in your registry system.
Information regarding authorization, clearing and settlement is beyond the scope of this documentation. Our implementation specialists can provide information regarding those processes.
