# Delete Customer

Delete a customer profile.

This method triggers the [Customer Deleted Webhook](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/customer-deleted-webhook.md "Customer Deleted Webhook"). This webhook contains the same information as the response.

### Parameters

### Request Path Parameters

- - - customer
    - ID of the customer profile. String starting with **cus_**.

### Request Header Parameters

- - access_key
  - Unique access key provided by Rapyd for each authorized user.

- - Content-Type
  - Indicates that the data appears in JSON format. Set to **application/json**.
- - salt
  - Random string. Recommended length: 8-16 characters.
- - signature
  - Signature calculated for each request individually.

    See [Request Signatures](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/request-signatures.md "Request Signatures").
- - timestamp
  - Timestamp for the request, in [Unix time](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_unix_time "Unix time") (seconds).

### Response Parameters

- - id
  - The unique identifier (ID) of the customer record that was deleted. Starts with `cus_`.
- - deleted
  - A flag indicating the status of the request. Returns `true` if the customer was successfully removed.
