# KakaoPay

A popular eWallet used throughout South Korea and across the APAC region

### What is KakaoPay?

KakaoPay is a leading [eWallet](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_ewallet "eWallet") in South Korea, letting consumers pay online using the KakaoPay eWallet linked to other payment methods like credit cards. KakaoPay enables users to transfer money and quickly check their account balances and card balances.

Users benefit from KakaoPay by paying their bills and viewing electronic documents through the KakaoPay app. Customers can scan barcodes when making in-store purchases to earn rewards with KakaoPay.

### User Experience

When a customer wants to make a payment online, they will select KakaoPay eWallet, select Place Your Order, and be redirected to KakaoPay and authorize the payment.

1. Checkout with KakaoPay ewallet > Select **Place Your Order**.
2. Redirect to the KakaoPay ewallet landing page.

3. Authorize the payment.

4. Redirect to the payment confirmation page.

5. Receive a payment confirmation message.
