# Mastercard

One of the biggest card networks in the world with over 2.5 billion cards issued.

### What Is Mastercard?

Mastercard is a global financial services company known mainly for processing financial transactions on its card network.

### User Experience

When a customer wants to make a payment online, they will select the Mastercard payment option, enter in their card information and continue to submit their card payment. If [3DS](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_rds "Three-Domain Secure") card is activated then the customer will verify their payment.

1. Select Mastercard payment.
2. Complete payment card information.
3. Select submit payment.

   - If 3DS is enabled, the user authorizes the payment and enters the [OTP](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_otp "One-time password").
4. User gets a confirmation screen (success or error) to review the payment details and clicks ok.
