# PromptPay

PromptPay is a popular ewallet in Thailand with over 55 million users.

### What Is PromptPay?

PromptPay is a digital [eWallet](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_ewallet "eWallet") in Thailand and has over 5.3 billion transactions. PromptPay allows users to send and receive funds via bank transfer including making payments on their mobile phone using a QR code. PromptPay has over 21 banks including all the major banks in Thailand.

### User Experience

The customer will, receive instructions on the merchant’s website to log into PromptPay and scan a QR code. From there they authenticate the transaction by confirming the payment on their mobile phone as described below.

1. Tap the payment tab.
2. Select pay.

   Page displays the payment instructions.

3. On the PromptPay app, log into the preferred bank and proceed to the payment by clicking scan.

4. Select Pay to authorize and complete the payment.

5. The payment confirmation page appears.
