# Tamper Detection and Incident Response

Train all personnel to recognize and respond to signs of tampering.

Recognize

- Unexpected terminal behavior (e.g., random reboots, error messages)
- Presence of unknown or unauthorized devices connected to the terminal
- Attempts by unrecognized individuals to access the device

Respond

- Immediately cease using the suspected device.
- Notify your designated security contact or [Payment Terminal Support](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/payment-terminal-support.md "Payment Terminal Support").
- Isolate the terminal and preserve it for further investigation without making changes.
