# Transaction Types Reference

| Type | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `SALE` | Standard purchase |
| `REFUND` | Return funds to the cardholder |
| `PREAUTH` | Reserve funds without capturing (requires completion) |
| `TOPUP` | Mobile top-up or wallet reload |
| `COMPLETION` | Capture a previously pre-authorised amount |
| `CASHBACK` | Cash withdrawal combined with a purchase |
| `CASH_ADVANCE` | Cash advance against the card |
| `ALTERNATIVE_PAYMENT` | APM transaction (QR code, digital wallet, pay by link) |
