# UnionPay

The world’s largest card network with over 9 billion cards issued to cardholders.

### What Is UnionPay?

UnionPay, or China UnionPay (CUP) is a card network in China with over 9 billion cards issued to their users. Aside from being the preferred payment method in China, UnionPay is also available in other countries including Singapore and Malaysia. UnionPay cards may hold different limits to each country or region.

### User Experience

When a customer wants to make a payment online, they will select the UnionPay card payment option, enter in their card information and continue to submit their card payment. If [3DS](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_rds "Three-Domain Secure") is activated for the card then the customer will verify their payment.

1. Select UnionPay card payment.
2. Complete the UnionPay card information.
3. Select pay or submit payment

   - If 3DS is enabled, the user authorizes the payment and enters the [OTP](https://docs.rapyd.net/en/glossary.md#UUID-945d98cf-adae-e1cf-2606-c7fae8b4a7e1_otp "One-time password").
4. User gets a confirmation screen (success or error) to review the payment details and clicks ok.
