Customizing Hosted Pages with Google Pay™

This procedure describes how to initialize a full integration with Google Pay™ and create a Google Pay™ payment via your customized ecommerce website that has its own checkout pages.

Introduction

Google PayTM enables a quick, secure checkout for the cards saved on Google accounts either via the web or via the app. Getting started with Google Pay™ is simple:  Rapyd provides support for both direct integration (API based integration where merchants create their own UI to accept payments) or hosted checkout page (a customizable, ready to use checkout page) that requires virtually no effort to be used and  available in iFrame or redirection mode. Google Pay™ allows users to pay for purchases in store, in app, and on websites with a single click. This document describes the payment flow for Google Pay™. The integration can be done via direct payment or hosted payment models.

Branding

Rapyd’s integration complies with the branding requirements of Google Pay™:

  • Rapyd verifies that Google Pay™ is mentioned on any feature page or developer documentation, and that it includes the trademark symbol, ™ , on the first or most prominent time that it appears.

  • Rapyd verifies that developer documentation uses all approved branding (e.g. buttons and assets) as provided by either Google Pay Android brand guidelines or Google Pay Web brand guidelines when referencing Google Pay™.

Supported Card Networks

Rapyd supports the international Visa and Mastercard networks. Availability depends on factors such as the operating country, the MID, the acquirer selected, etc.

Terms and Conditions

Rapyd merchants must agree to the following terms and conditions: By integrating Google Pay™, you adhere to the Google Pay API Acceptable Use Policy and accept the terms defined in the Google Pay API Terms of Service. For Google Pay™ direct integration, you need to contact Google to get the Merchant Id. See also this Google API link. Rapyd supports 3DS with Google Pay if the card is PAN (not supported in case of network token/DPAN). Please reach out to Rapyd support to request the configuration of 3DS, if required.
